The Worvarne is a slim rectangular LED panel light for the ceiling, 57cm long, 30cm wide and just 3cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room. A black plastic frame surrounds a white plastic diffuser, which gives a crisp outline against the ceiling and an even face of light. The LEDs are integrated and give out 2,580lm from the one fitting. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as a dry room; a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

We like it most in hallways, landings and living rooms, where one panel or a row of them gives an even wash of light with no bare bulbs in sight. Because the colour temperature runs from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, the same light can be soft and cosy in the evening and clear and bright for cleaning or working. It is also colour-changing, with a coloured glow around the frame that spreads across the ceiling, so you can set a mood for a film night or a party.
