Description

The Worvarne is a square LED panel light for the ceiling: a slim white plastic frame around a white plastic diffuser that spreads the light into one even, flat sheet. It is 50cm long, 50cm wide and only 3.2cm deep, so it sits neat and low against the ceiling. The LEDs are integrated and give 2,800lm, a bright light from a single fitting with no bulbs to buy. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go into a bathroom as well as the drier rooms of the house; a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

We see it working hard in a hallway, on a landing, in a kitchen or in a family bathroom, anywhere a broad, even light from a low profile makes sense. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, so the same panel gives a cosy, relaxed light in the evening and a crisp, daylight feel for tasks. It is colour-changing as well, and a coloured glow can spill from behind the frame onto the surrounding ceiling for a softer mood. It is dimmable and controlled by an app, and it fits into a smart home setup. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately.

Both the frame and the diffuser are white plastic, and the whole panel weighs 2.01KG. The LEDs and the driver are built in and are not replaceable, so there is never a bulb to change. There is no switch on the light itself, because it is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V mains with an energy class of D. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, ready for the day of fitting.
