Description

The Worvarne is a slim, round LED flush ceiling light in white, 50cm across and only 3.2cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps a neat, low profile. Both the body and the diffuser are white plastic, giving one clean, even disc that suits plain modern ceilings. The LEDs are integrated and give out 2,900 lumens, enough to light a room on their own. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as a dry living space, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

We would put it in a hallway, landing, kitchen, bedroom or bathroom, anywhere a single light has to do the whole job. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, so the same fitting can give a cosy, golden glow in the evening and a crisp, bright white for cooking, cleaning or getting ready in the morning. It is dimmable too, and the remote control comes in the box, so you can bring the light down or change its colour without leaving your chair.

Inside, the LEDs and driver are built in and are not replaceable, so there is never a bulb to change. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, has an energy class of D and weighs 1.49KG. There is no switch on the light itself: it turns on and off at the wall switch, and the remote takes care of dimming and colour. The remote runs on one CR2032 coin cell battery. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Keep a spare CR2032 in a drawer and the remote will be ready whenever you reach for it.
