The Worvarne is a slim, round LED flush ceiling light with a black rim framing a white diffuser. It is 50cm across and only 3.2cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps the room feeling open. Both the body and the diffuser are plastic, and the whole fitting weighs 1.4KG. The light source is integrated LED giving 2,900lm. It is listed at colour temperatures of 2700K, 4000K and 6500K, which spans warm light through neutral to a crisp cool light. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it is not limited to dry rooms.

That rating gives you a much wider choice of rooms. In a bathroom it can replace a tired old fitting, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. It is just as much at home in a hallway, a landing, a kitchen or a utility room, and the IP44 rating also lets it live outdoors on a sheltered porch. With 2,900lm from one 50cm panel, it is a sensible choice as the main light in a room. Its low 3.2cm depth suits lower ceilings where a pendant would get in the way. The black rim gives a crisp outline that sits well with monochrome schemes, dark door frames and black picture frames.

There is no switch on the light itself. It is controlled from your existing wall switch, and it runs on 220-240V mains. Like any wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. Because the LED is integrated, there are no bulbs to buy or change. Bear in mind, though, that the LED and driver are not replaceable parts. Its energy class is D. The installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them before the day of fitting.
