The Worvarne is a slim, round LED flush ceiling light in white, 30cm across and just 3cm deep, so it sits tight to the ceiling with very little depth showing. Both the body and the diffuser are plastic, and the integrated LED gives out 1,750 lumens, a generous amount for the main light in a room. The colour temperature covers 2700K, 4000K and 6500K, taking you from a warm, cosy light through to a crisp, cool light. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as the drier rooms of the house.

Because it is so shallow, it suits hallways, landings and bedrooms with lower ceilings, where a hanging pendant would get in the way of heads and doors. The IP44 rating also makes it a sensible choice for a bathroom or a busy kitchen, and in a bathroom a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The plain white finish blends into a white ceiling, so you notice the light rather than the fitting, and the round shape sits comfortably in a square room or a narrow corridor. The cooler whites give clear light for a home office or a kitchen worktop, while the warm white is kinder to a bedroom late at night.

Construction is simple: a white plastic body and a white plastic diffuser around a built-in LED, all weighing 0.66KG.
