Description

The Wise is an 83mm recessed LED downlight with an integrated 10W LED module producing 3000K warm white light through a black metal trim. The LED sits within a deep-set aluminium housing with a matt black baffle that reduces glare and directs light downward in a controlled beam. The CRI90 colour rendering reproduces natural tones accurately, making the downlight suited to kitchens, living rooms and commercial spaces where colour accuracy matters.

Designed for installation into ceiling cavities with at least 70mm clearance above the plasterboard, the Wise uses spring-loaded clips that secure the housing into a pre-cut circular aperture. The fixed downlight beam suits hallways, retail display areas, offices and residential rooms needing focused task light or general ambient coverage. The compact 83mm diameter trim sits nearly flush with the ceiling plane once fitted, giving a minimal visual presence.

The black finish on the trim and baffle provides contrast against white ceilings and pairs cleanly with contemporary, industrial and monochrome interiors. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific LED driver inside the housing. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm whether this model supports dimming and which dimmer types are compatible.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The housing requires at least 70mm clearance above the plasterboard. The 7cm height shown in the specification is the depth of the housing that sits within the ceiling cavity, not the projection below the ceiling.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the downlight is designed for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require downlights with an IP rating of IP44 or higher depending on the zone. For bathroom-suitable recessed downlights, filter by IP44 or IP65 ratings on the Niori site.

What beam angle does it produce?
