Description

The Wise is a 70mm decorative reflector frame in matt gold, designed to fit recessed downlights in the Maytoni Wise LED series. The frame sits flush with the ceiling, providing a visible rim around the light aperture that changes the appearance of the fitting from a plain white surround to a metallic accent.

Designed for residential and commercial interiors where recessed downlights need a warmer or more decorative finish, the frame clips onto compatible Wise series downlight housings without additional fixings. The 70mm diameter suits standard ceiling cut-outs for GU10 and integrated LED downlights. The matt gold finish provides a soft metallic tone that pairs with brass hardware, warm-toned joinery and contemporary interiors using gold or bronze accent details.

The frame is moulded from plastic with a powder-coated matt gold finish, making it lighter than a metal equivalent and simpler to install. At 2.25cm height, the frame projects minimally below the ceiling plane once fitted. The plastic construction resists corrosion, unlike bare metal frames that may tarnish over time.

Frequently Asked

Which downlights does this frame fit?

The Wise 70mm frame is designed specifically for recessed downlights in the Maytoni Wise LED series. It clips onto the downlight housing and is not compatible with other brands or series without verification. Check the downlight specification before ordering.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It has no stated IP rating, so it is for dry rooms only.

Does the frame affect the light output?

The frame acts as a visible rim around the downlight aperture. It does not block or redirect the light beam, so output and beam angle remain determined by the downlight itself.

What other finishes are available?

The Wise decorative reflector frame is available in multiple finishes including white, black, chrome and brass. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
