Description

The Wise is a 10W LED recessed downlight with an integrated 3000K warm white LED module, an 83mm white aluminium trim ring, and a CRI 90 colour rendering index. The light source sits behind a deep-set cone reflector that reduces glare and directs light downward in a focused beam, making the fitting suitable for general ceiling lighting in residential and commercial spaces.

Designed for ceiling installation in living rooms, offices, corridors and retail environments, the Wise requires a 70mm ceiling void depth to accommodate the driver housing and heat sink. The white powder-coated aluminium trim sits flush with the ceiling plane once installed, and the round aperture measures 83mm in diameter. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or anywhere moisture is present.

The aluminium and plastic construction keeps the total weight low while providing sufficient heat dissipation for the 10W LED module. The CRI 90 colour rendering means the light accurately reproduces fabric tones, skin tones and painted surfaces, which matters in showrooms, kitchens and retail fitting rooms where colour accuracy influences buying decisions. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light closer to halogen than the cooler 4000K used in many office downlights.

Frequently Asked

What ceiling void depth is needed for installation?

The Wise requires a minimum 70mm ceiling void depth to accommodate the LED driver housing and heat sink. The visible trim ring sits flush with the ceiling surface once fitted.

Is the LED dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific driver module supplied with this fitting. Contact us to confirm whether the current stock batch supports dimming before ordering if this is a requirement.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Wise is only suitable for dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require downlights rated IP44 or IP65 depending on zone placement.

What is CRI 90 and why does it matter?

CRI (Colour Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source reproduces colours compared to natural daylight. CRI 90 means the Wise renders colours with 90% accuracy, which is high for LED downlights and important in spaces where colour matters — kitchens, retail, showrooms, art galleries.
