Description

A small cylindrical head sits at the end of a flexible arm, so the light goes exactly where you point it and stays there. The finish is polished chrome throughout, bright and reflective, and the head is compact enough to read as neat hardware rather than a shade. The LED is built in and gives a warm white 3000K, soft rather than clinical, and a toggle switch on the base means the fitting works on its own without reaching for the room switch. We stock it as a single light for close work and quiet corners.

The arm carries the head 350mm clear of the wall, which is enough to bring light over a book, a keyboard or a framed print without crowding the space. That makes it a sensible choice beside a bed, above a desk in a study, in a shallow alcove or either side of a dressing mirror. Output is fixed rather than dimmable, so it is best where you want a reliable pool of light on demand and softer general lighting doing the rest. It is one we reach for where a table lamp would take up room that is not there.

The body is metal under the plated chrome, and the arm holds its position when adjusted rather than drifting back. Polished chrome shows fingerprints around the switch and the joint, so an occasional wipe with a dry lint free cloth keeps it looking sharp; skip solvents and abrasive creams, which will dull the plating. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from splashes and steam. It carries a three year warranty. The same cylinder head is offered in antique brass and satin nickel, and there is an oval head version in all three finishes if you prefer a softer profile. Nothing to buy separately, as the LED is part of the fitting.
