Description

The Winslow is a 2-light wall fitting with twin seeded glass cylinders mounted on a shared natural brass backplate, each supported by a straight horizontal arm. The seeded glass introduces a fine bubble texture that diffuses light from two E27 bulbs (sold separately) while maintaining transparency, softening glare without blocking the view of exposed-filament bulbs. The circular backplate sits 326mm wide with a 165mm projection from the wall.

Designed for hallway runs, bedside positions flanking a headboard, or either side of a bathroom mirror, the Winslow suits installations where a pair of fittings creates symmetry without occupying the full width of the wall. The 235mm height keeps the fitting compact enough for typical 2.4m ceiling heights in UK homes. The straight arms and circular backplate reference mid-century and transitional styling, pairing with both warm timber interiors and cooler whites and greys.

The natural brass finish will develop a darker patina over time if left untreated, or can be polished periodically to retain the initial tone. The seeded glass cylinders are open at the top, allowing heat from the bulbs to dissipate naturally. Each E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose LED filament bulbs for lower energy use or traditional incandescent bulbs where dimming is required.

Each socket takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with two warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that complements the seeded glass.

Is the brass finish lacquered?

Kichler's natural brass finish is typically unlacquered, meaning it will develop a darker patina over time through oxidation. The brass can be polished with a brass cleaner if you prefer to retain the initial lighter tone, or left to age naturally for a warmer, deeper finish.

What's the seeded glass effect?

The seeded glass contains fine air bubbles trapped during manufacturing, giving the glass a slightly textured, vintage appearance. This diffuses light from the bulbs, reducing glare while still allowing the filament to be visible through the glass.

Can the Winslow be used in a bathroom?

The fitting carries no stated IP rating in the specification, meaning it is designed for dry indoor locations only. It can be used in a bathroom if positioned outside zones 1 and 2 (more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower enclosure), but should not be fitted where it could be exposed to direct water spray.
