Description

The Windsor is a 3-light semi-flush chandelier combining a frosted glass bowl with a gold patina metal frame and three crystal droplets. The frame wraps the bowl with decorative scrollwork and ball finials at each side, with the chain suspension allowing the fitting to sit close to the ceiling. Three E27 bulbs inside the bowl provide upward and downward ambient light, diffused through the frosted glass.

Hand-built in the UK by Elstead Lighting, the Windsor suits dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms where a traditional aesthetic is needed without a long pendant drop. The 470mm diameter covers a reasonable ceiling area while the semi-flush configuration — with a minimum drop of 521mm from ceiling to base — keeps the fitting accessible in rooms with 2.4m ceiling heights. The 1500mm chain can be shortened on installation to bring the fitting closer to the ceiling rose where height is limited.

The gold patina finish applies a warm metallic tone over the metal frame, developing subtle tonal variation across the scrollwork and arms. The three pear-shaped crystal droplets hang below the bowl on individual chains, catching light from the bulbs and casting small refractive patterns onto surrounding surfaces. The frosted glass bowl hides the bulbs from direct view while allowing their light to pass through evenly, avoiding harsh shadows below the fitting.
