Wexley 5 Light Pendant - Heritage Brass

The Hinkley Wexley is a 5-light pendant built around a large oval clear glass shade measuring 456mm wide, framed by heritage brass turned metalwork with crystal accents at the stem. Five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the glass, providing direct light downwards and ambient light through the transparent enclosure. The brass frame includes decorative turned details on the central column and ring accents above and below the glass.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Wexley provides both task and ambient lighting. The 796mm minimum drop positions the pendant 650-750mm above a dining table in a standard-height room, while the 3048mm chain allows drops up to 3887mm for double-height hallways or over staircases. The 456mm diameter suits tables 1.2-1.8m long or entrance halls 3-4m wide.

The heritage brass finish has a warm, slightly antiqued tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass — less reflective than polished, warmer than brushed. The turned detailing on the central column references traditional oil lamp forms, while the crystal ring accents and clear glass keep the design open rather than ornate. The combination of glass, brass and crystal gives the fitting a substantial presence without blocking sightlines across a room.

What bulbs does the Wexley take?

The pendant takes five E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for dining room use.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation only. The chain and cable are cut and terminated at the ceiling rose during fitting, so changing the drop later requires re-terminating the electrical connections.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 796mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung over a dining table. For higher ceilings or stairwells, the 3048mm chain allows drops up to 3887mm from ceiling to the base of the fitting.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

The clear glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. For thorough cleaning, switch off at the mains, allow bulbs to cool, and wipe inside and out. The heritage brass can be dusted with a dry cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners that would strip the antiqued finish.
