Waylon 4 Light Pendant - Light Brown & White

The Waylon is a 504mm diameter drum pendant built from woven wooden slats in a light brown finish, crossed with white-painted metal bands that form the drum structure. Four E27 bulb holders sit inside the drum, concealed by the slatted exterior. The pendant hangs on a white-finished chain from a matching white ceiling plate, with 1378mm of chain providing adjustable drop from 477mm to 2306mm.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room focal points in coastal, coastal-contemporary and organic-modern interiors, the Waylon pairs well with natural fibres, pale wood furniture and neutral colour schemes. The open slatted construction allows light to filter through the gaps between wooden slats when the bulbs are lit, creating horizontal shadow patterns on the ceiling and surrounding walls. The drum proportions suit rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, and the pendant works over round or rectangular dining tables of 1.2-1.8m length.

The wooden slats are a pale natural timber finished with a light brown stain that shows the wood grain, while the white-painted metal crossbands provide structural support and create the drum shape. The contrast between the warm wood tone and the cooler white metal gives the fitting a two-tone appearance that anchors well in rooms mixing white walls with wooden flooring or furniture. The four E27 sockets accept standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the light quality and warmth preferred.

What bulbs does it take?

The Waylon takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to suit coastal and organic-modern interiors.

How adjustable is the drop?

The pendant includes 1378mm of chain, giving an adjustable drop range from 477mm minimum to 2306mm maximum. The chain can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height and desired hanging position above a table or surface.

What table size does it suit?

The 504mm diameter drum works over dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.2-1.8m in length. For a balanced look, the pendant should be roughly one-third to one-half the width of the table it hangs above.

Does it create shadow patterns?

Yes. The open slatted construction allows light to pass through the gaps between wooden slats, creating horizontal stripe patterns on the ceiling and walls when the bulbs are lit. The effect is most visible with clear or exposed-filament bulbs.
