Description

This ceramic photo frame holds your photograph upright inside a cream border scattered with tiny flowers and the words 'you are my sunshine'. The edge rolls in soft waves and is picked out with a sage green rim, while the little blooms come in blue, orange, pink and red on fine green stems. The printed words sit in a soft grey along the bottom, beneath the picture, so the frame carries its warm message whatever photograph you choose. It takes a 6 x 4in print and measures 22.5cm tall, 16cm wide and 1cm deep, a slim piece that needs very little room.

Because it stands on its own easel stand, it needs no wall and no nails: set it on a bedside table, a bookshelf, a desk or a windowsill and it is ready to enjoy. The cream and sage colouring sits happily in a bedroom, a living room or a hallway, and the cheerful flowers bring a gentle breath of spring indoors. 6 x 4in is one of the most common print sizes, so filling it with a favourite snapshot is simple. It makes a thoughtful gift for a friend, framing a moment you shared with words that tell them just how much they brighten your days.

The frame is ceramic, with a smooth, glossy surface. At the back, a black backing board is held in place by two small turn clips, with a stand set in the centre. To change the photograph, turn the clips, lift out the board, slip your print in and close it up again. Ceramic wants a careful hand, so dust it with a soft dry cloth or wipe the border with a lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. For a gift, we like to pop a printed photo inside before wrapping, so it is ready to stand the moment it is opened.
