Description

This waving autumn gonk decoration holds a sheaf of wheat in the crook of one arm and lifts the other hand in a friendly hello, bringing a little harvest-time cheer wherever he goes. He is made from resin and stands 23.5cm tall, 14cm wide and 9.5cm deep, so he sits happily on a shelf or windowsill without crowding it. His tall orange hat curls over at the tip and carries a small maple leaf at the front, pulled low over a rosy button nose, while a long white beard flows almost to his brown boots. Beneath it he wears a mustard-yellow tunic cinched with a black belt.

We like him best where the eye lands as you walk in: on a hallway console, a mantelpiece or the end of a kitchen dresser among pumpkins, pine cones and candles. The warm orange and mustard tones sit beautifully with autumn foliage, copper and natural wood, and his upright pose makes him easy to group with taller seasonal pieces or to stand alone on a bedside table or bookshelf.
