Warwick 12 Light Chandelier - Graphite Black

The Warwick is a 1220mm diameter wrought iron chandelier with twelve candle-style E14 bulb positions arranged on a circular frame, suspended on chain from a central spike fitting. Each bulb sits on an upright candleholder fixed to one of twelve curved arms radiating from the frame, with decorative chain swags connecting the outer edge to the central suspension point. The graphite black finish coats the hand-forged ironwork, giving a textured, slightly matte surface that shows the hammer marks and joinery detail in the metalwork.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above, the Warwick suits large dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces where the 1220mm span and 730mm minimum drop can be accommodated without dominating sightlines. The twelve E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide distributed ambient light across the ring rather than concentrated downlight, so the fitting acts as both illumination and architectural feature. The chandelier is typically centred over a dining table 2-2.4m long or positioned in the centre of a large hall where the circular form can be viewed from multiple angles.

The wrought iron construction gives the chandelier a 15kg approximate weight, requiring solid ceiling joists or a reinforced fixing point rather than a standard plasterboard ceiling rose. Each arm is individually forged and fixed to the main ring, so the spacing and slight variations in curvature between arms are part of the hand-worked manufacturing process, not defects. The graphite finish resists fingerprints and shows less dust accumulation than polished or brighter metal finishes. The chain-draped structure references medieval hall lighting and castle ironwork, making the Warwick more suited to traditional, gothic, rustic and period interiors than contemporary or minimal schemes.

What bulbs does it take?

The Warwick takes twelve E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K to replicate the appearance of traditional candlelight without the heat or energy draw of halogen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1220mm diameter and 730mm minimum drop work best in rooms with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above. In a dining room, the chandelier typically hangs 800-900mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 3.2m when accounting for the chandelier body and chain length.

Can the drop be adjusted?

Yes. The chandelier is supplied with chain that can be shortened during installation to reduce the drop from the ceiling. The 730mm minimum drop is the shortest possible configuration once the fitting itself is accounted for.

What fixing point is required?

The chandelier weighs approximately 15kg when fully assembled with bulbs fitted. It requires a solid ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point capable of supporting at least 20kg. A standard plasterboard ceiling rose is not adequate — the fixing must go into timber or concrete.
