Walette Wooden Pendant Light 18cm - White

The Walette is a wooden pendant light with a white steel body in a soft teardrop shape, crowned by a collar of warm brown wood where it meets the cable. It is 18cm across and has an overall height of 110cm, so it hangs as a neat, compact pendant rather than a large centrepiece. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of light colour and brightness with you. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Its natural home is over a dining table, where the open, flared rim sends light down across the tabletop for meals, reading and homework. At 18cm across it suits a small round table on its own, while two or three hung in a row look good along a longer table or a kitchen island in a dry kitchen. The pairing of white steel and brown wood sits comfortably in Scandinavian and modern interiors, alongside oak furniture, pale walls and soft grey upholstery. It works just as well in a hallway, on a landing or beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp.
