Description

The Walette is a pendant light with a rounded dome shade in black steel, topped by a tapered neck of light brown wood where the black cord enters. The shade is 28cm across and the light measures 110cm tall overall, so it gives a table or seating area a clear focal point without crowding the room. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, which is not included, so you are free to choose the colour of light you prefer. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Hang it over a dining table, a coffee table or a reading corner, and the open base of the shade sends light downwards where you want it. The pairing of black and brown sits easily beside leather, timber and dark painted walls, and the wood neck adds a warm, natural note that an all-metal shade would lack. It suits a living room, a dining room, a bedroom or a hallway, and because each light hangs from its own cord, several in a row make a neat line over a longer table.

The shade is steel and the neck is wood, finished with a black cord and a black ceiling canopy that match the shade. There is no switch on the light itself, so it works from the wall switch you already have, on a 220-240V supply. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Its packed weight is 1.404KG.
