Description
The Wald is a 14cm diameter outdoor LED wall light with an integrated 7W 3000K LED behind a graphite-finished metal disc. The fitting projects 4cm from the wall and casts warm white light through a rear aperture, creating a halo effect that illuminates the wall surface around the fitting rather than projecting light outward into the space.
Designed for porches, entrance areas, patios and pathways, the Wald works as marker lighting to define edges and guide movement after dark without causing glare. The IP65 rating protects the internal LED module and driver from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for year-round installation in exposed positions. The 7W LED runs on 220-240V AC mains and operates in temperatures from -20°C to +40°C.
The graphite finish is a dark grey powder coat over the metal body that resists UV fading and corrosion in coastal or high-humidity environments. The 14cm diameter gives the fitting visual presence on larger rendered or brick walls without dominating smaller entrance areas or porch recesses. The 4cm projection means the fitting sits close to the wall plane, reducing the risk of accidental knocks in tight walkways or beside doors.
The Wald is part of Maytoni's outdoor LED range and carries a 3-year warranty covering the LED module, driver and housing against manufacturing defects. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 30,000+ hours of operation, equating to approximately 10 years of typical residential use at 8 hours per day.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The Wald uses an integrated LED module that is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 30,000+ hours, which translates to approximately 10 years of typical residential use at 8 hours per day. The 3-year warranty covers the LED module against early failure.
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. The Wald can be installed in fully exposed positions including under open porches, on pathway posts, and on external walls facing prevailing rain. It is not submersible.
Does it need mains voltage wiring?
Yes. The Wald runs on 220-240V AC mains and must be wired by a qualified electrician to a permanent outdoor lighting circuit with appropriate IP-rated cable glands and junction boxes. It is not compatible with low-voltage garden lighting systems.
What direction does the light cast?
The Wald casts light backwards through a rear aperture, creating a halo effect on the wall surface around the fitting. It does not project light outward into the space, making it suitable as marker lighting rather than task lighting for steps or reading.
