The Vivienne is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light built around six E14 bulb fittings arranged on curved polished nickel arms, enclosed by a circular drum of rectangular-cut crystal panels. Each crystal is cross-cut to amplify refraction, scattering light outward and across ceiling surfaces when the six bulbs are lit. The polished nickel arms curve outward from a central hub before turning upward to support the crystal drum, giving the fitting a low-profile 320mm drop that suits ceilings from 2.4m upward.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls where ceiling height limits the use of a full pendant, the Vivienne provides the decorative presence of crystal lighting without the vertical drop. The semi-flush mounting positions the crystal drum close to the ceiling, allowing the light to spread outward rather than downward, which works well for general ambient lighting across mid-sized rooms of 16-25m². The six-lamp arrangement ensures even light distribution without visible hot spots.

The polished nickel finish on the metalwork provides a cool-toned contrast to the warm light refracted through the crystals, pairing well with grey, white, and cool-toned contemporary interiors. What bulbs does the Vivienne take?

Is the Vivienne dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 320mm drop from ceiling to base of crystal drum works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting, but the crystal drum will sit closer to head height in walking areas.

Does the fitting require reinforced ceiling fixing?

Yes. At 8.95kg, the Vivienne must be mounted to a ceiling joist or a reinforced fixing point capable of supporting at least 15kg. Standard plasterboard plugs are not sufficient for safe installation.
