Description

The Vivienne is a 50cm crystal chandelier built around a circular drum of rectangular cut crystals, suspended on four upwardly-arched polished nickel arms from a matching nickel canopy. Four E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside crystal sconces within the drum, casting light through the faceted crystals in all directions. The fitting can be installed as either a pendant on the included chain or as a semi-flush ceiling light, depending on ceiling height and room function.

Designed for rooms where a full-size chandelier would overpower the space, the Vivienne suits dining areas under 4m square, entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m, and bedroom zones where a decorative centrepiece is needed without dominating the ceiling plane. The minimum drop of 670mm allows semi-flush installation in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings, while the maximum 1630mm drop on chain suspension works for double-height hallways or stairwells. The 50cm diameter gives presence without overwhelming typical UK dining tables of 1.2-1.6m length.

The rectangular crystals are hand-cut and faceted to catch light from multiple angles, creating refractive sparkle whether the bulbs are on or off. The polished nickel frame provides a cool metallic accent that pairs with chrome, brushed steel, and grey-toned interiors, while remaining neutral enough to sit comfortably in warmer schemes alongside brass or gold. The fitting weighs 2.6kg before bulbs, requiring a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg to support the combined weight of chain and crystals safely.

Can this be fitted to a low ceiling?

Yes. The minimum drop of 670mm allows semi-flush installation in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings. The chandelier sits approximately 670mm below the ceiling rose at its shortest configuration, leaving around 1.7m of headroom beneath the fitting.

What bulbs does it take?

The Vivienne takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or clear filament bulbs for added sparkle through the crystals.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible, but requires dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. If you fit non-dimmable LED bulbs, the chandelier will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or using chemical sprays directly on the crystals.
