Description

The Vivienne is a 70cm crystal chandelier built on a polished nickel frame with three circular tiers of rectangular crystal prisms and 11 E14 bulb fittings. Each tier is ringed with precision-cut rectangular crystals that refract light from the exposed bulbs, creating a multi-directional spread of illumination across walls and ceilings. The chandelier can be fitted as either a pendant on chain suspension or a semi-flush ceiling light depending on the room height, with the drop adjustable between 500mm minimum and 1950mm maximum.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Vivienne works as a centrepiece fitting where light density and visual presence are both needed. In pendant mode the chandelier suits rooms with 2.8m+ ceiling heights; in semi-flush mode it suits 2.4-2.7m ceilings where a traditional chandelier drop would bring the crystals too close to head height. The 70cm diameter covers a 1.6-2.2m diameter dining table or a 3-4m square entrance hall without overwhelming the space.

The polished nickel frame provides a cool-toned metallic finish that pairs with contemporary greys, whites and cooler palettes more comfortably than warmer brass or gold finishes. Each of the 11 bulbs takes a 20W maximum E14 fitting (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose filament-style bulbs for a warmer decorative look or LED candles for higher efficiency and dimmer compatibility. The combined weight of the fitting at 13.65kg requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or noggin rather than plasterboard alone.

Can this be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light?

Yes. The Vivienne is supplied with both chain suspension for pendant fitting and a semi-flush conversion kit. In semi-flush mode the minimum drop is 500mm, making it suitable for ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant drop would bring the crystals too low.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes 11 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use either warm-white LED candles at 4-6W for efficiency or decorative filament-style candles at 25-40W equivalent for a traditional look.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming; bulb and dimmer compatibility must be checked separately.

What ceiling fixing is needed for the 13.65kg weight?

The chandelier must be fixed into a ceiling joist, noggin or reinforced mounting plate capable of supporting at least 20kg. Plasterboard fixings alone are not adequate. If the ceiling rose position does not align with a joist, a spreader plate or additional noggin must be installed between joists before fitting.
