Description

The Visvette is a five light cluster pendant: five small spherical shades in a dark bronze finish, each on its own slim cord, hanging at staggered heights from a round ceiling canopy. The body is steel, and the whole fitting measures 150cm tall overall and 90cm in diameter, so it fills a generous space rather than a tight corner. Each shade takes a GU10 bulb, and the bulbs are not included, which leaves the colour and warmth of the light entirely your choice. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

We think it looks its best over a dining table, where the staggered shades bring the light down close to the people eating and the cluster becomes the focal point of the room. It works just as well in a living room, a hallway or a landing with a high ceiling, where a single pendant might look lost and five small shades fill the height far better. The dark bronze finish is a warm metallic tone that sits comfortably alongside timber, stone and soft neutral fabrics, and it suits a modern room as easily as a more traditional one. Because the bulbs are chosen separately, you can pick a warm white for a relaxed evening meal or a brighter, cooler white for a working kitchen table.

Steel is strong and holds its shape well, so the canopy and shades keep their clean lines over years of use. The pendant runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and weighs 2.48KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. Have five GU10 bulbs ready before fitting day, one for each shade, so the cluster lights the moment the electrician has finished.
