Description
The Vista is a single-head outdoor wall spotlight with a black powder-coated aluminium body, an adjustable GU10 lamp head, and a tempered glass lens protecting the bulb aperture. The head rotates on a ball joint fixed to a circular backplate, allowing the beam to be directed up, down, or across a wall plane to light doorways, architectural features, or planted borders.
Designed for external walls, garden boundaries, and covered outdoor areas, the Vista carries an IP44 rating against dust and water spray, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use in typical UK weather. The GU10 socket accepts any standard mains-voltage LED or halogen spotlight bulb up to 50W (sold separately), giving control over beam angle, colour temperature, and brightness. The fitting mounts on a standard UK outdoor electrical back box with cable entry through the rear of the backplate.
The powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion and UV fading better than painted or anodised alternatives, maintaining colour consistency under prolonged sunlight and rain exposure. The 110mm projection from wall to head gives clearance for the beam to clear typical brick or render surfaces without throwing harsh shadows directly beneath the fitting. The minimalist cylindrical form suits both contemporary render finishes and traditional brick or stone elevations without visual clash.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Vista take?
The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W. Most users pair it with a 5-7W LED GU10 in either warm white (2700-3000K) for ambient lighting or cool white (4000K) for security and task lighting. Bulbs are sold separately.
Is it suitable for coastal or high-exposure locations?
The IP44 rating protects against water spray and dust, making the Vista suitable for most UK outdoor locations including gardens, patios, and covered porches. In coastal areas with salt spray exposure, consider periodic rinsing with fresh water to prevent salt build-up on the powder coat.
Can the head be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The lamp head rotates on a ball joint and can be repositioned at any time without tools. This allows seasonal adjustment to light different planting or to redirect the beam as outdoor furniture layouts change.
Is it dimmable?
The fitting itself is dimmer-compatible, but dimming performance depends on the GU10 bulb fitted. Use a dimmable LED GU10 paired with a trailing-edge or phase-cut dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may be damaged by dimmer circuits.
