Vision Wall Light - Gold with Frosted & Clear Glass Dome

The Vision is a wall-mounted light built around a dual-layer glass dome — an inner frosted sphere sitting inside an outer clear glass shell — mounted on a gold-finished aluminium arm and circular wall plate. The fitting takes a single E14 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), with the frosted inner glass acting as the primary diffuser and the clear outer layer adding depth and a secondary reflective quality to the light output.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living room accent walls and hospitality corridors where task lighting isn't required but ambient presence is, the Vision projects 18cm from the wall and sits 21cm high at the glass dome. The dual-layer construction softens direct glare from the bulb while maintaining enough transparency through the clear outer shell to give the fitting a lighter visual weight than a fully opaque shade would. The gold arm and wall plate suit warm-toned interiors, brass hardware schemes, and period-appropriate 1960s-influenced spaces.

The aluminium frame carries a brushed gold finish that shows minimal tarnish over time compared to lacquered brass. The clear glass dome is hand-blown, so minor variation in thickness and bubble presence is normal between individual pieces. The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall box with two fixing screws (concealed behind the wall plate once installed), and the glass dome is held by a threaded collar that can be unscrewed for bulb changes or cleaning. IP20 rating restricts this to indoor dry locations only — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor covered porches, or areas with direct water exposure.

What bulb does the Vision take?

The fitting takes a standard E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that suits the frosted and clear glass combination.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts this fitting to indoor dry locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or any area with direct water exposure or high moisture levels.

How is the glass dome cleaned?

Unscrew the threaded collar holding the glass dome in place (with the power isolated), remove the dome carefully, and clean both the frosted inner and clear outer surfaces with glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly before reassembling to avoid water marks.

Is the gold finish prone to tarnishing?

The aluminium frame carries a brushed gold powder-coat finish rather than a lacquered brass plating, so it shows minimal tarnish or discolouration over time. Wipe clean with a dry microfibre cloth when needed.
