Description
The Vireon is a triple-ring alabaster suspension light built from three octagonal rings of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended at staggered heights from a single octagonal bronze canopy. The rings measure 600mm, 800mm and 1000mm in diameter, each held by bronze L-bracket clamps that grip the stone at regular intervals around the perimeter. An integrated LED inside each ring casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, with the stone itself acting as the diffuser.
Designed for double-height spaces such as stairwell voids, atrium entrance halls, and large open-plan dining rooms, the Vireon needs vertical room to read properly as a layered composition. The 2000mm adjustable cable drop allows each ring to be set at a different height during installation, fixing the cascading arrangement that gives the fitting its sculptural profile. The bronze canopy fits a standard ceiling rose and the suspension cables conceal the wiring runs to each ring.
Each alabaster section is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the cloud-like veining and tonal variation differ across the three rings and across individual fittings. The combined mass of solid copper hardware and three substantial alabaster rings gives the Vireon real visual weight at scale, with the largest ring spanning a full metre. The bronze finish on the brackets and canopy reads warm rather than yellow, pairing with both contemporary neutral schemes and richer traditional interiors.

Frequently Asked
What ceiling height is needed for the Vireon?
The Vireon is designed for double-height spaces. With three rings staggered across a 2000mm adjustable cable drop, the fitting reads best in stairwell voids, atriums and rooms with ceilings of 4m or more. The cables can be shortened on installation, but compressing the drop too much loses the cascading composition that defines the design.
Can the rings be set at custom heights?
Yes. Each ring suspends from its own pair of cables, and the cable lengths are adjusted independently during installation. This allows the three rings to be set at any vertical spacing within the 2000mm total drop, so the cascade can be tightened for shorter ceilings or spread out for tall voids.
Does the alabaster vary between rings?
Yes. Each ring is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the mineral veining, cloud-like inclusions and tonal variation differ across the three rings of a single fitting and between individual orders. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and becomes more visible once the integrated LED is lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the rings gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on either the alabaster or the bronze brackets.
