Description

The Virelli is a small drum pendant light measuring 170mm in diameter and 125mm tall, built from two stacked tiers of natural travertine separated by a dark walnut wooden band. An integrated 3000K LED sits inside the lower stone drum, washing warm light downward through a recessed diffuser at the base. The pendant runs on 230V mains and is suspended from a slim black cord that drops from a matching black ceiling cap.

The compact 170mm diameter and 125mm drop suit clustered installations over kitchen islands and breakfast bars, single drops above bedside tables, or staggered groupings down a stairwell. Hanging individually it works as accent or task light over a small dining table or reading corner, and at this size three or five units can be specified together over a longer worktop without the cord drops crowding each other. The integrated LED removes the need to source a bulb separately.

Travertine is a porous natural stone, and each drum on the Virelli shows the characteristic open mineral pores, fine pitting and tonal variation of the material across the light beige finish. The dark walnut wooden band wrapping the centre is finished smooth, with visible grain running horizontally to contrast against the rougher stone texture above and below it. The combination of warm beige stone, deep walnut wood and matt black cord gives the pendant a grounded, material-led palette rather than a metallic one.

Why does the travertine surface look pitted?

Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone formed with open mineral pores, and the pitting and surface variation visible on each drum is a feature of the material rather than a defect. No two pendants will show identical patterning.

How is the travertine cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid damp cloths, household sprays and chemical cleaners, as travertine is porous and can absorb moisture and staining liquids into its surface pores.
