Description
The Villanova 1 is a white lighting track: a slim aluminium rail 200cm long, 3cm wide and 2.2cm high, with a rounded profile and an open channel running along its length. It has no lamp socket of its own. Instead it carries mains power at 220-240V along the rail, so the lights fitted to it can sit wherever the room needs them, rather than where a single ceiling point happens to be. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors and dry, away from showers, baths and anywhere it could get wet.
We suggest it for living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, studios and display walls, anywhere one light point has to do the work of several. Run across a ceiling, it lets you aim light at a dining table, a picture wall and a reading chair from one line, then move those lights again when the furniture moves. The white finish keeps it quiet against a white or pale ceiling, so the eye goes to the light and not the rail carrying it. For a room you rearrange often, that freedom is the real gain.
The rail is aluminium, a metal that is light for its strength, and the full 200cm length weighs 1.1KG. There is no switch on the track itself; it is switched at the wall. As a mains fitting that is wired in, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Care is simple: switch off at the wall, then wipe the white finish with a soft, dry cloth to keep it looking clean.
