Description

The Viiva is a 1500mm linear LED fitting in matt white aluminium with integrated LED offering selectable wattage and colour temperature on installation. Four wattage settings (20W, 28W, 38W, 42W) and three colour temperatures (3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, 5700K daylight) are switched via a selector on the driver housing, giving twelve possible output combinations from a single fitting.

Designed for offices, classrooms, retail and commercial interiors requiring glare-controlled linear lighting, the Viiva carries a UGR19 rating at the lowest wattage setting, reducing screen glare in workstation environments. The 48mm-wide profile mounts directly to ceilings via surface brackets or can be suspended on cables (sold separately). The 90-degree beam angle provides even light distribution across desks, worktops and corridors without harsh shadows or hotspots.

The extruded aluminium body measures 1500mm x 48mm x 63mm and weighs approximately 1.5kg, giving structural rigidity without sagging across the full span. The matt white finish pairs with white ceilings in modern commercial fit-outs and the IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments. The fitting is compatible with Knightsbridge's optional emergency kit (sold separately), which converts the Viiva into a maintained or non-maintained emergency luminaire for compliance with BS 5266 in commercial premises requiring escape route lighting. The Class I fitting requires earthing on installation and operates on 230V 50Hz mains.

How do I change the wattage and colour temperature?

The driver housing has a selector switch accessible during installation. Set the wattage (20W, 28W, 38W or 42W) and CCT (3000K, 4000K or 5700K) before final fixing. The settings are not user-adjustable once the fitting is mounted and powered.

What does UGR19 mean?

UGR (Unified Glare Rating) measures discomfort glare. UGR19 is the rating at the 20W setting and indicates low glare suitable for office environments with computer screens. Higher wattage settings may have a higher UGR value.

Can this be suspended from the ceiling?

Yes. The Viiva can be surface-mounted or suspended using suspension cables (sold separately). The fitting includes mounting points for both installation methods.

Is it dimmable?

No. The Viiva is a non-dimmable fitting. Wattage can be selected on installation but cannot be dimmed during use.
