Description
The Viiva is a 1200mm linear fitting with integrated LED and switchable output settings, allowing the installer to select from four wattages (17W, 20W, 34W, 36W) and three colour temperatures (3000K, 4000K, 5700K) on installation. The switching mechanism is housed in the driver compartment inside the white aluminium body, which measures 48mm wide and 63mm deep along the 1200mm run.
Designed for ceiling or suspension mounting in offices, studios, classrooms and commercial spaces where glare control matters, the Viiva carries a UGR19 rating that keeps direct glare below the threshold where it causes discomfort for screen-based work. The 90-degree beam angle spreads light across desks and worksurfaces without creating harsh shadows or pooling. Surface mounting uses the integrated brackets on the back of the housing; suspension mounting requires optional cable kits.
The aluminium construction in a powder-coated white finish gives the fitting a 1.1kg weight and keeps the profile low against white or light-toned ceilings. The selectable wattage range means a single fitting type can be stocked and adjusted on-site to match the lumen requirement of the room, from 1260lm at 17W/3000K up to 2875lm at 36W/4000K. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments, and the Class I construction requires an earth connection.
Knightsbridge produces an emergency conversion kit compatible with the Viiva range, allowing the fitting to act as emergency lighting where building regulations require maintained or non-maintained emergency operation. The kit is sold separately and linked in the Downloads section.

Frequently Asked
How are the wattage and colour temperature selected?
Both settings are adjusted via switches inside the driver compartment before installation. The fitting is opened, the appropriate wattage and CCT switches are set, and the housing is closed before mounting. These are not end-user adjustable after installation.
What does UGR19 mean?
UGR (Unified Glare Rating) measures discomfort glare. UGR19 is the threshold below which most office workers report no discomfort from direct glare when working at screens. It makes the Viiva suitable for desk-based and computer work environments.
Can it be dimmed?
No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light output is fixed at the selected wattage setting.
What ceiling fixing is required?
For surface mounting, the fitting uses the integrated brackets on the back of the housing and requires standard fixing plugs and screws into a solid ceiling. For suspension mounting, optional cable kits are needed (sold separately). The fitting requires a mains feed connection and earth because it is Class I.
