Description

The Vienna is a twin-arm crystal wall light with scrolled metal arms in an aged bronze finish, fitted with two E12 candle-style bulb holders rising from cut crystal bobeches. Layered K9 crystal drops hang from each arm and the central back plate, including faceted pendalogue-cut pieces, almond drops and small octagon beads strung in chains.

The fitting suits formal hallways, dining rooms, drawing rooms and traditional staircases where a pair of wall lights is used to flank a mirror, fireplace or doorway. At 43.2cm tall and 38.1cm wide it sits comfortably either side of a standard chimney breast or above console tables, and the 15.2cm projection from the wall keeps the candle arms clear of passing traffic in corridors.

The cast metal back plate carries an embossed acanthus and shell motif that frames the central crystal pendalogue, and the arms are detailed with a fluted, leaf-edged moulding that catches light along their length. The K9 crystal is a leaded optical glass that refracts light into clear spectral colours when lit, throwing decorative patterns onto adjacent walls. What bulbs does the Vienna take?

The fitting takes two E12 candelabra-base bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this style with a clear or frosted candle-shaped LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm candlelit appearance through the crystal.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself has no integrated electronics, so dimming depends on the bulb chosen. Pair it with dimmable E12 LED candle bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, or with traditional incandescent candle bulbs which dim on standard dimmers.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The Vienna mounts to a standard UK wall-mounted back box via the cast metal back plate. Total weight is 2.7kg, so a securely fixed back box and appropriate wall fixings for the wall substrate are required. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. With the power isolated, the K9 crystal drops can be unhooked individually from their wires, washed in warm water with a small amount of mild detergent, rinsed in clean water and dried with a lint-free cloth before re-hanging. The metal frame should only be wiped with a dry, soft cloth.
