Description

The Vienna is a single-light crystal wall sconce with a heirloom gold metal frame, a scrolled S-curve arm and a cascade of K9 crystal pendalogues hanging from a fluted glass bobeche. A single E12 candle-style lamp holder sits on a cream candle sleeve at the top of the arm, accepting bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed in the spirit of 18th-century Rococo lighting, the sconce suits hallways, dining rooms, formal sitting rooms and bedrooms with traditional or classical interiors. Mounted in pairs either side of a mirror, fireplace or console table it provides symmetrical accent lighting; fitted singly in a reading nook or stairwell it works as decorative ambient light. The 11.4cm projection from the wall keeps it close enough for narrow hallways and landings.

The frame is cast metal finished in a soft heirloom gold with visible relief detail on the circular backplate and the ribbed scroll arm. Faceted K9 crystal pendalogues, octagonal beads and a large central pear-cut drop catch and refract light from the candle bulb, throwing small reflections onto surrounding walls when lit. At 40.6cm high, 21.6cm wide and 2kg, the Vienna has presence without overwhelming smaller rooms or alcoves.

What bulb does the Vienna take?

The sconce takes one E12 candle-style bulb up to 60W (sold separately). E12 is the small Edison screw base commonly used for chandelier candle lamps. A 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulb at 2700K gives the closest match to a traditional candlelit appearance.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself has no integrated driver, so dimmability depends on the bulb chosen. Pair it with a dimmable LED candle bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer to vary the brightness.

How far does it project from the wall?

The Vienna projects 11.4cm from the wall and stands 40.6cm tall by 21.6cm wide. The shallow projection makes it suitable for hallways, landings and stairwells where wider sconces would feel intrusive.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch the light off and let any bulb cool, then dust the K9 crystals with a soft microfibre cloth. For brighter results, wipe each pendalogue with a cloth lightly dampened with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol, and dry immediately. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the metal frame to protect the heirloom gold finish.
