Description

The Viena is a 2-light table lamp built around two curved polished chrome stems that rise from a rectangular chrome plinth, each supporting a frosted glass shade shaped like a cupped flame. The stems curve outward in opposite directions before arcing back inward, giving the lamp a flowing, asymmetric silhouette. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the frosted glass diffuses the light to reduce glare.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedroom nightstands in contemporary and Art Deco-influenced interiors, the Viena provides ambient rather than task lighting. The polished chrome reflects surrounding light sources and adds brightness to the immediate area around the lamp, making it useful in darker corners or alongside mirrors where the reflective finish multiplies visible light. The lamp stands 530mm tall with a 230mm-deep footprint, so it suits console tables and wide windowsills without dominating smaller side tables.

The twin-stem construction gives the lamp 2.4kg of weight, providing stability on flat surfaces without needing additional securing. The polished chrome finish shows fingerprints and requires periodic cleaning with a microfibre cloth, but pairs well with chrome or brushed metal furnishings elsewhere in the room. The frosted glass shades are removable for bulb changes and cleaning.

The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit, allowing brightness to be reduced for evening use or increased for reading positions near an armchair.

The lamp requires two G9 bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. The bulbs must be dimmable if you intend to use dimmer control.

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit. The lamp itself does not have an integrated dimmer — dimming is controlled at the wall switch or via a plug-in dimmer module.

What surface does the lamp suit?
