Description

The Vespera is an IP65-rated outdoor spotlight with a cast aluminium body finished in black, housing a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) behind a transparent Pyrex glass lens. The lamp head rotates on a hinged joint, allowing the beam to be angled towards pathways, garden features, building facades or driveway edges depending on mounting position.

Designed for wall or ground mounting, the Vespera suits perimeter lighting, accent lighting for planting beds, and directional lighting for external doorways and steps. The IP65 rating provides protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making the spotlight suitable for year-round outdoor use in UK weather conditions. The compact 80mm width and 150mm projection keep the fitting discreet when wall-mounted.

The cast aluminium construction gives the fitting a solid 0.8kg weight that resists movement in wind once fixed, while the powder-coated black finish resists UV fade and corrosion. The Pyrex glass lens withstands thermal shock from rapid temperature changes and provides clear light transmission without the yellowing associated with polycarbonate covers. The spotlight accepts any GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to the maximum wattage shown in the Specification table.

What bulb does the Vespera take?

The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb, sold separately. Most users install a 5-7W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for garden and pathway lighting, or a cool white (4000K-5000K) LED for security and driveway applications.

Can it be used in ground or only wall-mounted?

The Vespera can be wall-mounted or ground-spiked depending on the mounting bracket chosen during installation. The IP65 rating applies to both orientations. Ground-spiking requires the optional spike accessory, available separately.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb installed. Use a dimmable GU10 LED paired with a compatible outdoor dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 LEDs will not dim and may flicker if wired to a dimmer.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 provides complete protection against dust and protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes the Vespera suitable for exposed outdoor positions including under eaves, on garden walls, and at ground level where it may be subjected to rain and hose wash-down.
