Description

The Versailles is a 590mm LED wall light built around five curved polished chrome ribbons that loop outward from a central chrome mounting hub, each ribbon housing an integrated LED strip behind an opal white acrylic diffuser. The chrome ribbons follow a flame-like curve, rising vertically at the centre and sweeping outward at the edges, creating a sculptural profile that projects 260mm from the wall.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls and dining areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Versailles delivers 2080 lumens of 3000K warm white light across a 120° beam spread. The five LED strips are wired in series to a single driver housed in the back plate, requiring only mains connection at installation with no external transformer. The fitting is not dimmable and operates on 100-265V mains, making it compatible with UK and international voltage standards.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome door handles, tap fittings and mirror frames in contemporary bathrooms and kitchens, though this fitting carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations only. The opal diffusers soften the LED output and eliminate visible hot spots, turning each chrome ribbon into a continuous glowing arc rather than a series of point sources. The 1.9kg weight requires secure fixing to a solid wall or into a stud-mounted back plate.

The Versailles is part of Mantra's Spanish-designed contemporary collection and shares the flame-curve ribbon profile with other Versailles family members in different finishes and configurations. The integrated LED strips are rated for 50W total power consumption and are not user-replaceable, so the fitting is designed as a complete sealed unit with a three-year warranty covering the LED modules and driver.

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and operates at full output on mains power. Attempting to fit a dimmer may damage the internal driver.

Can the LED strips be replaced if they fail?

The integrated LED strips are sealed within the chrome ribbons and are not user-replaceable. The fitting is designed as a complete unit covered by a three-year manufacturer warranty. If the LEDs fail within the warranty period, contact Mantra or the retailer for a replacement.

What wall fixing is required?

The 1.9kg weight and 260mm projection require secure fixing into a solid wall or into wall studs behind plasterboard. The back plate includes mounting holes for screws and rawlplugs (not supplied). A qualified electrician should handle both fixing and wiring.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The Versailles carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations where moisture is present.
