Description

The Verity is a single wall light built on a vertical brushed brass arm that extends from a rectangular backplate, topped with a flared cut glass shade. The shade is diamond-cut on the outside surface, creating a textured refraction of the light from a single 3W G9 LED bulb (supplied) inside. The brushed brass finish runs across the backplate, arm and bulb holder, giving the fitting a unified metallic tone.

With an IP44 rating, the Verity is safe for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower tray) and also suits hallways, landings, bedrooms and living rooms where a vertical wall light fits the available space better than a horizontal design. The 506mm height and 200mm projection make it suitable for walls adjacent to mirrors, beside doorways, or in pairs flanking alcoves or artwork. The 3000K colour temperature from the supplied LED gives a warm white output close to incandescent bulbs.

The cut glass shade diffuses the LED point source without completely masking it, so the fitting provides both direct light downwards and a softer glow outwards through the textured glass. The vertical proportion keeps the light compact on narrow walls while the flared shade prevents the glass from appearing too thin or fragile. Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Verity suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which means it can be installed more than 600mm away from the edge of a bath or shower tray. It is not rated for direct spray zones (zone 1) or inside a shower enclosure (zone 0).

Is the bulb replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses a standard G9 LED bulb rated at 3W and 3000K, supplied with the light. If the bulb fails, it can be replaced with any G9 LED up to 3W. The glass shade lifts off to access the bulb holder.

What colour is the light output?

The supplied LED is 3000K, which is a warm white close to the tone of traditional incandescent bulbs. This is warmer than daylight-white LEDs (4000K+) and suits residential interiors where a cosy or ambient tone is preferred.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

The cut glass shade can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water and a small amount of glass cleaner. Disconnect the power before cleaning and allow the bulb to cool fully if the light has been on recently.
