Description

The Vera is a 50.7cm clear glass table lamp built around a vertical column of integrated LED strips, housed inside a hexagonal glass shaft and topped with a hexagonal clear glass shade. The 18W 3000K LED runs the full height of the central column, casting warm white light outward through the glass panels. Polished metal fittings hold the panels at the top, base and shade, and the whole fitting sits on a hexagonal glass plinth.

Designed for sideboards, console tables, hallway tables and reception desks, the Vera works as a low-level accent rather than a primary task light. The dimmable driver allows the output to drop from a defined working level down to a quiet ambient glow, which suits evening settings in living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. At 39cm wide and 9kg, the lamp needs a stable surface with at least 45cm of clear depth.

The all-glass construction is the defining feature: every element apart from the brushed metal connectors and the LED strips themselves is transparent, so the lamp reads as a column of light suspended between two glass slabs rather than a conventional shade-and-base silhouette. The 9kg weight comes almost entirely from the glass panels, which gives the lamp a low centre of gravity and stops it tipping when the cable is moved. The 100-240V driver allows use on both UK and international supplies.

Is the LED replaceable?

The Vera uses an integrated 18W 3000K LED strip rather than a removable bulb. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours of normal use, so replacement is rarely needed within the lamp's working life.

How is it dimmed?

The lamp has its own dimmable driver. Operation depends on the supplied switch or controller; please refer to the included instructions on installation. It is not designed to be wired through a separate wall dimmer.

What surface size does it need?

At 39cm across the hexagonal shade and 9kg in weight, the Vera needs a stable surface with at least 45cm of clear depth. Sideboards, console tables and wider bedside tables work well; narrow nightstands under 40cm deep are too small.

Can it be used outside the UK?

The driver accepts 100-240V, so the lamp can be used on both UK 230V and international supplies. A suitable plug adaptor or replacement plug will be needed outside the UK.
