Description

The Venus is a 225mm circular LED wall light with a gold-finished metal face and an integrated 9W 3000K LED producing 780 lumens. The circular disc sits 52mm proud of the wall on a flush-mount backplate, with the LED positioned to cast light outwards in a 120° beam angle, creating a halo effect around the perimeter of the fitting.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and hotel corridors where indirect ambient light is needed without the hard shadows of a downlight, the Venus provides soft wash lighting across a wall surface. The 780-lumen output at 3000K is comparable to a 60W incandescent in brightness but with a warmer, more diffused spread. The 52mm projection and 225mm diameter suit walls with clearance above furniture or beside doorways where a traditional bedside or table lamp would be impractical.

The gold finish is applied to a metal face that forms the visible disc when mounted. At 0.62kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate fixings but substantial enough that it doesn't feel plasticky when installed. The non-dimmable LED is rated for 3 years and runs on standard 220-240V UK mains without requiring a separate driver or transformer visible on the wall.

The 780 lumen figure describes the total light emitted, spread outwards rather than focused forward, so the wall itself carries most of the brightness. Running at 9W keeps energy use low for the light produced. No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs at a fixed 9W output on mains power.

What mounting depth is needed behind the wall?

The fitting mounts flush to the wall surface using a backplate fixed with screws. Electrical connections are made inside the backplate, so a standard UK back box or cavity depth of approximately 35mm is needed to accommodate the wiring and terminal block.
