Description

The Venus is a 500mm circular LED wall light with a white powder-coated metal frame and an integrated 18W LED that casts light through a diffused ring around the perimeter. The LED operates at 3000K warm white and delivers 1440lm output across a 120° beam angle. The central disc sits 57mm proud of the wall, creating a halo effect where light spills onto the wall surface rather than directly forward into the room.

Designed for hallways, staircases, living rooms and bedrooms where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Venus works best on walls with at least 600mm of clear horizontal space. The 500mm diameter makes it suitable for medium to large rooms, while the 57mm projection keeps it clear of door swings and high-traffic routes. The non-dimmable LED is wired directly to the mains and fits standard UK ceiling rose or junction box configurations adapted for wall mounting.

The white finish on the metal frame coordinates with walls painted in white, light grey or neutral tones, letting the fitting recede when off and become a soft light source when on. The circular form and halo lighting pattern work in both contemporary minimalist spaces and in traditional rooms where a clean, unobtrusive wall light is preferred over period fittings. At 1.3kg the fitting requires secure wall fixings appropriate to the substrate — plasterboard installations benefit from metal cavity fixings or mounting to a stud.

No. The integrated LED operates at a fixed 18W output on 220-240V mains. It cannot be paired with dimmer switches or controllers.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

Yes, but the 1.3kg weight requires appropriate fixings. Use metal cavity fixings rated for the load, or mount the backplate to a stud or solid substrate behind the plasterboard. Standard plastic wall plugs are not sufficient for plasterboard installations.
