Description

The Venus is a 640mm coat rack wall light with four circular hanging pegs mounted on a horizontal white rail and a circular LED halo at the right end. The integrated 6W LED inside the halo casts 490lm of warm 3000K light across the wall in a 120° beam, turning the end of the coat rack into a functional light source as well as a decorative accent.

Designed for hallways, entryways and bedroom dressing areas where wall space is at a premium, the Venus combines coat storage with ambient wall wash lighting. The four pegs hold jackets, bags, scarves and hats while the LED halo provides enough light to illuminate a 1.5-2m section of wall without needing a separate ceiling or wall-mounted fixture. The 34mm projection keeps the rack close to the wall, minimising intrusion into narrow hallways.

The white powder-coated metal finish pairs with white-painted walls, grey-toned interiors and Scandi-style entryways. The LED halo sits slightly proud of the coat rail, creating a layered profile when viewed from the side. At 1.2kg the fitting mounts securely to a standard plasterboard wall with the supplied fixings and can support typical coats, jackets and light bags without sagging.

How is the Venus fitted to the wall?

The coat rack mounts horizontally using two fixing points concealed behind the white rail. The fixture includes wall plugs and screws suitable for plasterboard and masonry walls. The mains cable exits from the back of the LED halo end and requires connection to a nearby switched spur or ceiling rose via a suitable junction box.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 6W LED runs at full 490lm output when switched on and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

How much weight can the pegs hold?

Each of the four pegs is designed to hold typical coats, jackets, scarves and light bags. The 1.2kg weight of the fitting and the two-point wall mounting provide sufficient support for everyday hallway use, but the pegs are not rated for heavy winter coats stacked multiple layers deep.

What installation height works best?

Most users install the Venus at 1.5-1.7m above floor level, positioning the pegs at a comfortable reaching height for adults while keeping the LED halo at eye level or slightly above to maximise wall wash coverage.
