Description

The Vento Maxi is an 80cm ceiling fan with an integrated CCT-adjustable LED and four retractable clear acrylic blades that fold away into the body when the fan is switched off. The fan housing is finished in matt white metal with a bronze accent ring, and the light diffuser is opal acrylic. A 6-speed DC motor drives the blades with reversible rotation for summer cooling and winter heat redistribution, controlled via the included remote.

Designed for living rooms, large bedrooms, and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Vento Maxi provides both air circulation and ambient lighting from a single ceiling fitting. The CCT function adjusts the LED colour temperature from warm 3000K to cool daylight 6500K, allowing the light to shift from relaxed evening warmth to focused daytime brightness. The integrated timer and memory function return the fan to your last-used settings when switched on.

The retractable blade mechanism folds the four clear acrylic blades flush into the fan body when not in use, leaving only the white and bronze disc visible on the ceiling. When the fan is activated the blades deploy automatically, extending to the full 80cm diameter. The 20.5kg weight and 55cm drop from ceiling to base require secure fixing to a joist or structural ceiling point rated for ceiling fan loads, with a recommended clearance of at least 30cm from the blade tips to any wall.

The DC motor operates more quietly than AC equivalents and consumes less energy across the six speed settings, with the reverse function allowing the fan to push warm air down from the ceiling in winter or pull cool air up in summer. The remote control manages fan speed, direction, light on/off, CCT adjustment and timer programming without needing a wall switch, making the Vento Maxi suitable for rooms where rewiring for fan control is impractical.

What ceiling height is required for safe installation?

The fan requires a minimum ceiling height of 2.7m to maintain at least 2.3m clearance from the floor to the blade plane when the blades are extended. The 55cm drop positions the blades approximately 2.15m above floor level in a 2.7m room, which meets safe clearance standards.

How does the retractable blade mechanism work?

When the fan is switched off the four clear acrylic blades fold inward and retract into the fan body, leaving a flat disc profile on the ceiling. When the fan is switched on the blades automatically deploy outward to the full 80cm diameter. This happens via spring-loaded hinges activated by motor rotation.

Can the light be used independently of the fan?

Yes. The remote control allows independent operation of the LED light and the fan motor. You can run the light without the fan, the fan without the light, or both together.

What does the reverse function do?

The reverse function changes the direction of blade rotation. In summer mode the blades rotate to push air downward, creating a cooling breeze. In winter mode the reverse rotation pulls air upward, redistributing warm air that has collected near the ceiling back down into the living space.
