Description

The Veloxis is an 8-light semi-flush ceiling light with eight white blown glass globes radiating from a central matt black column and satin brass canopy. Each glass sphere sits at the end of a slender black metal arm, creating a symmetrical spoke pattern that spans 640mm across. The light takes eight G9 bulbs (sold separately) and works with standard dimmer switches to control light output.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Veloxis sits close to the ceiling while providing multi-directional light across the room. The semi-flush design suits living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms needing overhead light that fills the space without a single central glare point. The 640mm spread works in rooms from 12-18m² without overwhelming smaller spaces or looking undersized in larger ones.

Each white glass globe is acid-etched on the inside to diffuse the light evenly and reduce visible filament or LED element glare when looking up at the fitting. The matt black finish on the arms and central column absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the eight glowing spheres. The satin brass canopy adds a warm metallic accent at the ceiling fixing point without competing with the black and white colour palette.

The IP20 rating limits the Veloxis to dry indoor rooms only — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor covered areas or locations with high humidity. The fitting carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux and requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting the combined weight of the metal frame and eight glass globes.

Is the Veloxis suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The semi-flush design sits close to the ceiling, making it appropriate for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. It provides multi-directional light without the drop of a full pendant.

What bulbs does it take?

The Veloxis takes eight G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Halogen G9 bulbs up to the maximum wattage stated on the fitting label are also compatible.

Can it be used with a dimmer switch?

Yes. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Check that your chosen G9 LED bulbs are labelled as dimmable before purchasing.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Veloxis is suitable for dry indoor rooms only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or areas with high moisture levels.
