Description
The Veloria Medium is an 800mm-diameter tiered chandelier built from natural Spanish alabaster petals suspended on a brushed brass frame, hung from a matching brushed brass canopy and chain. Twenty-one E14 lamp sockets sit within the frame (bulbs sold separately), casting light outward through the layered alabaster petals so the stone itself becomes the diffuser. Overall fitting height is 550mm with a 1000mm cable drop above.
The scale suits medium to large rooms with ceilings of 2.7m or higher: dining rooms above a six-to-eight seat table, open-plan living areas, primary bedrooms, and stairwell voids where the tiered profile reads from below. Hung above a dining table, the bottom of the chandelier typically sits 750-850mm above the table surface. The 1000mm cable can be shortened on installation, and the canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.
Each alabaster petal is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral patterning and translucency vary from petal to petal and from one chandelier to the next. The petals are arranged in graduated tiers that step inward toward the centre, creating overlapping layers that catch and re-emit light from the E14 sources behind them. The brushed brass armature is visible between the upper tiers and recedes into shadow lower down, leaving the stone as the dominant visual element.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Veloria take?
The chandelier accepts 21 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. For warm, diffused ambient light through the alabaster, most users pair this with 3-4W LED candle or golf-ball bulbs at 2700K-3000K. Total wattage should not exceed the rating shown on the fitting label.
What ceiling height is needed?
The fitting itself is 550mm tall with a 1000mm cable above, giving a maximum drop of approximately 1550mm from the ceiling. It suits rooms with ceilings of 2.7m or higher. The cable can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings, but the 550mm fitting height is fixed.
Will each chandelier look identical?
No. The petals are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual petals and between chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and is most visible when the lamps are lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, polishes, vinegar and any chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the stone.
