Description
The Veloria Large is a 1000mm-diameter tiered chandelier built from 26 elongated Spanish alabaster petals suspended on a brushed brass frame. Each petal hangs from a slender brass arm, arranged across concentric rings that step down to a central point and form a layered, scallop-edged silhouette. Twenty-six E14 lamp sockets sit within the frame (bulbs sold separately), casting warm light through the natural stone.
At 620mm tall and 1m across, the Veloria is sized for larger rooms with generous ceiling heights — open-plan living areas, double-height entrance halls, dining rooms with round or oval tables of 1.4m or wider, and stairwell voids. The 1000mm chain drop is adjustable on installation, and a brushed brass canopy conceals the ceiling rose. Above a dining table, the lowest tier typically sits 750-850mm above the table surface; in a hall or living room, leave at least 2.1m clearance to the floor.
The petals are hand-cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so each one carries its own pattern of mineral veining, cloudy banding and warm amber inclusions. When unlit, the chandelier reads as soft white against the brass; when lit, the petals glow individually as the light catches their internal structure, with darker veined petals reading more dramatically than the paler pieces around them. The combined frame and stone is substantial and benefits from a structural ceiling fixing.
Twenty-six E14 sockets give flexibility over the lighting effect: low-wattage warm-white LEDs (2-4W, 2700K) produce a soft, diffuse ambient glow, while slightly higher-output bulbs lift the chandelier into a primary light source for the room. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Veloria take?
The chandelier takes 26 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. For a soft ambient effect, most users pair it with low-wattage warm-white LEDs around 2-4W and 2700K. Higher-output bulbs can be used to make the chandelier a primary light source for the room.
What size room does it suit?
At 1m diameter and 620mm tall, the Veloria suits larger rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher. It works well above round or oval dining tables of 1.4m+, in open-plan living areas, double-height entrance halls and over stairwell voids. It is too large for standard 2.4m-ceiling living rooms.
How is it hung and is the drop adjustable?
The Veloria hangs from a brushed brass chain on a matching canopy with a 1000mm cable length. The chain can be shortened during installation to set the chandelier at the right height. Above a dining table, leave 750-850mm between the table surface and the lowest tier; in walkways, allow at least 2.1m floor clearance.
Does the alabaster vary between petals?
Yes. Every petal is hand-cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, opacity, banding and warm tonal variation differ from petal to petal. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and contributes to the chandelier's individual character once lit.
