Description
The Varas is a 9-light LED cluster pendant composed of nine cylindrical tubes suspended from a 42cm circular matt black canopy. Five tubes are finished in glossy gold, four in matt black, and all nine terminate in frosted opal diffusers that house integrated 3000K LED modules totalling 45W. The tubes hang at staggered lengths between 50cm and 140cm, creating a sculptural vertical cascade when viewed from multiple angles.
Designed for double-height spaces, dining areas with ceilings above 2.7m, and open-plan zones where the pendant can be appreciated from below and from mezzanine levels, the Varas combines ambient and decorative function. Each tube's drop is individually adjustable on installation, allowing symmetrical arrangements or randomised compositions depending on the room geometry and ceiling height. The integrated 0-10V dimming driver inside the canopy pairs with standard UK LED wall dimmers, enabling smooth dimming from full output down to a low glow without flicker.
The combination of glossy gold and matt black finishes gives the Varas a graphic two-tone contrast that pairs well with contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors. The frosted opal diffusers prevent direct glare from the LED chips while allowing the warm 3000K light to wash downwards and outwards, creating a soft pool of illumination beneath the cluster. The 6.9kg total weight requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced mounting point rather than plasterboard alone.

Frequently Asked
Is the Varas dimmable?
Yes. The integrated LED driver supports 0-10V dimming and pairs with standard UK LED wall dimmers. The pendant dims smoothly from full output to a low glow without flicker or buzzing.
Can the tube lengths be adjusted?
Yes. Each of the nine tubes has an individually adjustable drop on installation, allowing you to set them between 50cm and 140cm to create symmetrical or randomised compositions depending on your ceiling height and room layout.
What ceiling height is needed?
The Varas works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The cluster can be adjusted to suit lower ceilings by shortening all nine tubes to the 50cm minimum, but the visual impact is greater when the staggered lengths have room to cascade.
What fixing is required for the 6.9kg weight?
The 42cm canopy must be fixed into a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point capable of supporting at least 10kg. Fixing into plasterboard alone is not sufficient — use a timber batten between joists or install blocking in the ceiling void before fitting the pendant.
