Description

The Varas is a 9-light LED cluster pendant built around nine cylindrical bars suspended from a 42cm matt black circular canopy. Five bars are finished in matt black, four in satin gold, each housing an integrated LED module that shines warm 3000K light through an opal acrylic diffuser at the base. The combined 45W output delivers 4,050 lumens across the cluster.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and reception areas with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 3.2m, the Varas uses adjustable cables on each bar to create a staggered cascade effect where no two bars hang at the same height. The drop can be set anywhere between 50cm and 140cm during installation, allowing the fitting to be configured for different room proportions and table sizes. The integrated LED driver accepts dimming commands from the included radio-frequency remote, giving stepless brightness control without requiring a wall-mounted dimmer.

The matt black canopy and bars provide a neutral backdrop that allows the satin gold bars to register as warm accents rather than dominating the composition. The 42cm canopy diameter keeps the fitting compact enough for 900mm-wide kitchen islands while the 6.9kg weight and included gravity toggles provide secure mounting on plasterboard or solid ceilings. The opal diffusers soften the LED point sources, preventing glare when the pendant is viewed from seated positions below.

How does the remote dimming work?

The Varas has an integrated LED driver that receives radio-frequency commands from the supplied remote control. The remote provides stepless dimming from full brightness down to around 10%, with no need to wire a wall dimmer. The remote operates through walls and does not require line-of-sight to the fitting.

Can the bar heights be adjusted individually?

Yes. Each of the nine bars hangs on an adjustable cable that can be set independently during installation, creating the staggered cascade effect shown in the product image. The drop of each bar can be adjusted between 50cm and 140cm from the canopy base.

What ceiling height is needed?

With the maximum 140cm drop, the Varas needs a ceiling height of at least 2.6m to allow comfortable clearance over a kitchen island or dining table. For ceilings above 2.8m, the pendant can be set to its full 140cm drop to maintain proportion.

Is the integrated LED replaceable?

The LED modules are integrated into each bar and are not designed to be user-replaceable. The combined 45W LED array is rated for approximately 20,000-25,000 hours of operation, which equates to 8-10 years of typical domestic use at 8 hours per day.
