Description

The Varas is a 25-light cluster pendant suspending individual LED tubes from a 90cm diameter matt black canopy on adjustable cables. Each tube pairs a brushed gold front face with a matt black rear, creating a two-tone vertical element that rotates freely on its suspension point. The integrated LEDs inside the tubes provide 125W combined output at 3000K, casting warm downlight and ambient glow through the arrangement.

Designed for double-height living rooms, lobby voids, atrium spaces and dining areas with ceiling heights of 3m or higher, the Varas uses the full vertical drop to create a kinetic sculpture above the floor. The individual cables adjust from 60cm minimum to 300cm maximum, allowing the cluster to be configured in a tight vertical column, a staggered cascade, or spread across the full 3m range depending on the ceiling height and the desired visual density. The 0-10V dimmer driver sits inside the canopy and works with compatible wall controls to adjust brightness from full output down to low ambient without flicker.

The 90cm canopy diameter suits central mounting above a large dining table (2.4-3m long), an island in an open-plan kitchen-living space, or a feature position in a hallway or stairwell void where the vertical arrangement can be appreciated from multiple levels. The combined 28.48kg weight requires ceiling joist fixing or a reinforced mounting plate rated for the load. The brushed gold finish on the tube fronts catches light from angles, while the matt black backs reduce glare when viewed from below and give definition to each individual element in the cluster.

The IP20 rating limits the Varas to dry indoor environments. The CRI rating of >80 provides good colour rendering for residential and hospitality interiors. The 11,250 lumens total output is sufficient to act as primary lighting in rooms up to 30-35m², or as feature lighting layered with recessed downlights in larger spaces.

Yes. The integrated 0-10V dimmer driver in the canopy works with compatible 0-10V wall dimmer controls to adjust brightness from full output down to low ambient. The system is flicker-free across the dimming range.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable cables allow drops from 60cm minimum to 300cm maximum. For the full visual effect of the cluster arrangement, ceiling heights of 3m or higher work best. In lower ceilings the cables can be shortened, but the vertical impact is reduced.

Can the tubes be arranged in a specific pattern?

Yes. Each of the 25 tubes hangs on an individually adjustable cable, allowing you to create a tight vertical column, a staggered cascade, or a spread arrangement across the full 3m drop range during installation.

What fixing is required for the 28.48kg weight?

The canopy must be fixed to a ceiling joist, a reinforced mounting plate rated for at least 30kg, or a structural fixing point capable of supporting the full weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not adequate.
