Description
The Valora is a 175cm floor lamp built around six E14 LED bulbs concealed within layered curtains of fine metal chainwork in a polished nickel finish. The chains drape from a six-segment crown at the top, cascading downwards in irregular tiers to form a sculptural veil roughly 36cm in diameter. A slim nickel column rises from a circular flat base to support the head.
Designed for living rooms, hotel lobbies, lounge corners and the turn of a staircase, the Valora occupies a small floor footprint while drawing the eye upwards. The 175cm height places the illuminated section at standing eye level, casting filtered light through the chain layers and onto adjacent walls. The slender column keeps the lamp visually light despite its 16kg weight, so it sits comfortably beside an armchair or in an alcove without crowding the space.
Each chain strand catches light independently, so the surface shifts as the viewer moves around it and as ambient light changes through the day. The six internal bulbs produce a layered glow rather than a single point source, with the chain curtains acting as a soft mechanical diffuser. The polished nickel finish on the structure and chains reads as a cool silver tone, pairing with grey, charcoal and muted neutral interiors as well as glass, mirror and chrome accents elsewhere in a room.

Frequently Asked
How many bulbs does the Valora take?
The lamp takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each 6W LED, housed inside the chain veil. Bulb inclusion depends on stock at time of order — please check the listing or contact us to confirm whether bulbs are supplied.
What's the floor footprint?
The lamp sits on a circular flat base, with the chain veil approximately 36cm in diameter at its widest. The slim column means the lamp can be placed in tighter corners and alcoves than a tripod or wide-base floor lamp.
Is it suitable as a primary light source?
The Valora produces filtered ambient light through the chain layers rather than direct task light. It works well as a secondary or decorative source in living rooms and lounges, paired with a ceiling fitting or task lamp where focused light is needed for reading.
How are the chains cleaned?
Dust the chain layers with a soft, dry duster or a hairdryer on a cool, low setting to lift dust from between the strands. Avoid wet cloths and household sprays, which can leave residue on the polished nickel and tangle the fine chainwork.
