Description

The Valora is a 54cm wall light built around a curved gold frame draped with a veil of fine brass chains. Two E14 lamp holders sit behind the chain curtain, taking 6W LED bulbs that cast light through the metal fringe rather than through glass or fabric. The chains hang in graduated lengths, finishing in an asymmetric tail that drops below the main body of the fitting.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms, bedroom feature walls and alcoves, the Valora reads as decorative wall jewellery as much as a working light source. The 20cm projection keeps it close to the wall in narrow circulation spaces, while the 54cm height gives it enough vertical presence to anchor a section of wall on its own without needing to be paired or symmetrically mounted. It suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

The brass chain veil is the defining feature. Each strand catches light along its length, so when the lamps are lit the fitting glows from within the chains themselves, throwing a softly broken pattern of light onto the surrounding wall. Switched off, the gold finish acts as a sculptural wall ornament. The 2kg weight mounts onto a standard wall back box, and the curved canopy conceals the wiring connection.

The Valora takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, supplied as 6W LEDs. A warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K complements the gold chain veil and produces the soft layered glow the fitting is designed for.

Where does it work best?

The vertical 54cm form suits hallways, dining room walls, bedroom feature walls and alcoves. The 20cm projection is shallow enough for narrow corridors, and the asymmetric chain tail gives the fitting enough drama to stand alone rather than needing to be mounted as a pair.

How is it cleaned?

Dust the brass chains gently with a soft, dry brush or microfibre cloth. Avoid pulling on individual strands, as the chains hang freely from the frame and can tangle. Do not use chemical cleaners or polishes on the gold finish.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmability depends on the LED bulbs fitted. The lamp holders themselves accept any standard E14 LED, so pairing dimmable LED bulbs with a compatible LED dimmer will allow brightness control. Confirm bulb and dimmer compatibility before installation.
