Description

The Valmera is a 530mm table lamp built around a solid black marble cylinder with white horizontal veining, capped top and bottom with brushed brass collars. A slim brass stem rises from the top of the marble, supporting a tapered white fabric shade with a 280mm diameter and a small brass ball finial at the apex. A single E27 lamp socket sits inside the upper fitting.

The compact 280mm shade and 530mm overall height suit bedside tables, console tables in entrance halls, and lamp tables flanking a sofa where a full-size table lamp would dominate the surface. The lamp draws power from a standard UK 230V outlet via the cable concealed at the rear of the base. Switch type is in-line on the cable; check the Specification tab for confirmation.

The marble cylinder is cut with straight vertical sides and flat upper and lower faces, giving the base a defined architectural geometry rather than a turned or shaped profile. The white veining runs in horizontal bands across the black stone, so the visible pattern varies between individual lamps depending on how each cylinder was cut from the block. The brushed brass collars frame the marble at top and bottom and pick up the warm tone of the finial, separating the dark stone from the white shade above.

What bulb does the Valmera take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-9W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the brass and white shade for bedside or living room ambient light.

Is the marble pattern the same on every lamp?

No. Each cylinder is cut from natural black marble, so the white veining runs in different bands and densities on each lamp. Two Valmera lamps placed side by side as a pair will show clearly different stone patterns.

Is it the right size for a bedside table?

Yes. At 530mm tall with a 280mm shade diameter, the Valmera fits comfortably on a typical bedside table without crowding the surface. The compact base footprint also leaves room for a book, glass or phone alongside.

How is the marble base cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, polishes and acidic cleaners, which can dull or etch the stone surface over time.
